Waste expert heads to Peterborough

A waste disposal expert is heading to Peterborough next month to look at how changes to laws on the removal of waste are affecting small and medium-sized firms in the area.

Manfai Tang from the Environment Agency will be speaking at the Local Business Breakfast Conference and Exhibition, which will be held at the Orton Hall Hotel, in Orton Longueville on April 10th.

He will issue advice to SMEs on how best to comply with the laws whilst also boosting their green credentials and cutting their costs, proving that eco innovation can benefit business as well as save the planet.

"Costs for waste disposal have increased, but businesses can take simple steps to keep within the law and make significant savings by reducing the amount of waste they generate," Mr Tang said.

Meanwhile efforts to tackle fly tipping in Peterborough have led to a reduction in the number of incidents, the Peterborough Telegraph reports.
