Clean technology for heating homes and buildings is set to be showcased at the East of England Showroom.

The Peterborough venue will host the Geothermal Live! UK conference and exhibition as part of the GeoDrilling event which will be held on April 30th and May 1st.

Organised by the Ground Source Heat Pump Association and Mining Communications, the event will see practitioners of a range of disciplines share best practice.

There will also be a chance to hear from some of the organisations and companies involved about how regulations and initiatives in the sector have affected the heat pump industry.

Speakers from the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Environment Agency, Micropower Council and Environmental Engineers will make presentations to visitors.

The Ground Source Heat Pump Association was first launched in 2006 to support the industry by promoting sustainable use of ground source heat pumps, providing high standard training for the industry and raising awareness of the devices.

It expects ground source heat pumps to grow by more than 100 per cent this year.
