British Energy’s head of new nuclear and the department for business enterprise and regulatory reform’s (BERR) director of heat policy are confirmed as speakers at an East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) conference.

The event, which will focus on moving towards secure and sustainable sources of energy, will take place on the 10th of July.

Gareth Brett, who joined British Energy as head of new nuclear in 2008 after 30 years of experience in utility, engineering and development, has been confirmed as a speaker.

Others who have been confirmed include BERR director of heat policy Hergen Haye, Aquaterra Energy managing director Gary Hacket, E.On Climate & Renewables UK regional director Dave Rogers, East of England Development Agency sustainable development manager Johnathan Reynols and EEGR chairman Mark Goodall.

The EEGR claims to act as a "single focal point for representing the energy industry and striving to ensure all these regional assets combine to form a world-class industry".
