Metering and Monitoring of Domestic Micro-Generation
In November 2007 BEAMA published its study into the performance of domestic photovoltaic, wind microCHP and hydro technologies.
The research gathered real generation, export and consumption data from 133 micro generation sites UK-wide over the previous two years. The project’s prime objective was to provide Elexon with reliable data to determine its approach to the pricing of micro-generated electricity exported to the grid. It also analysed the amount of power these systems actually generated.
