The first series of Eco Innovation Centre Breakfast Meetings for 2009 commences on February 5th. This series of breakfast meetings is an opportunity to network with environmental practitioners from across Peterborough and the region. The seminars cover a range of topics from Energy Performance Certificates to opportunities in Peterborough with the Environment Capital work.
All the breakfast meetings will take place from 7.45am in the Eco Innovation Centre and are completely free and include tea, coffee and breakfast pastries.
February 5th 2009 - Carbon Footprinting

This Carbon footprinting workshop has been designed using the Carbon Trust’s Carbon footprint calculator and looks to equip delegates with an understanding of what a carbon footprint is and some practical training on how to calculate and reduce the Carbon footprint for their own organisation.
February 12th 2009 - Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs)

Michael will be talking about Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), with a focus on the energy recommendations that can be derived from them.
February 19th 2009 - BizGrowthEast - Opportunities for Entrepreneurs

BizGrowthEast is a gateway for entrepreneurs in the East of England to all the support, funding and advice on offer in the region from the East of England Development Agency (EEDA). Its firm aim is to increase your chance of achieving business success. This seminar will cover advice on the right type of funding for your business, help on how to secure it and, if appropriate, introductions to a wide range of funding sources e.g. banks, angel investors, venture capitalists.
February 26th 2009 - Peterborough Environment Capital
Trevor Gibson (Opportunity Peterborough) and Nick Goodman (GPP)
Peterborough has launched its ambition to create itself as the UK’s Environment Capital. This presentation will cover the good work which has already been achieved in the city, but will also highlight what else needs to be done, including opportunities for the EnviroCluster, for Peterborough to become Environment Capital.
